EPITAFIO A UN POETA CULTO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yace aqu\u00ed un versificante,
\nque con lenguaje no terso,
\ngastaba en todo su verso
\ncandor, sandalia y brillante.
\nEn lo claro fue ignorante,
\nlo culto tuvo por gu\u00eda,
\nentre confusi\u00f3n viv\u00eda,
\ntanto, que fue en tal abismo
\ntan obscuro, que aun \u00e9l mismo
\nno entendi\u00f3 lo que escrib\u00eda.<\/p>\n

El ser poeta es bella, heroica acci\u00f3n,
\nel dulce y sonoro retint\u00edn:
\na una mujer muy fea, seraf\u00edn
\nle llaman los versistas, y a Faet\u00f3n<\/p>\n

he visto yo a un poeta remend\u00f3n
\nporque acaba el consonante en in,
\nllamarle algunas veces Faet\u00edn,
\nque fuerza un consonante m\u00e1s que Am\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Con uno y otro alegre parabi\u00e9n,
\nmil alabanzas a los versos dan,
\nde los poetas laurear se ven.<\/p>\n

Y cuando con la pompa y lauro est\u00e1n,
\nde las perlas, del oro, hacen desd\u00e9n,
